Hardwood / Softwood pellets

Premium Hardwood / Softwood Blend Pellets

We harvest the ideal blend of northeast hard and softwoods to produce premium pellets that provide more BTU's per pound. Our Premium Wood Pellets meet or exceed the PFI* Fuel Grade Requirements for Premium Grade pellets based on the following independent test results:

Heat Value Average 8,200 BTUs

Moisture Content 5-6% (PFI Premium Standard <10%)

Ash Content <1.0%

Density >40%

Premium 100% Softwood pellets

Premium 100% Softwood Pellets

Our softwood is an optimal wood pellet. When pelletized, the difference between softwood and hardwood fiber is minimal. The density of the pellet makes a bigger difference than the species of wood. All of our tests have shown the softwood to have the lowest ash and moisture content along with the highest BTU, making it a Super Premium Pellet. Our 100% Softwood Super Premium Pellets meet or exceed the PFI* Fuel Grade Requirements for Super Premium pellets based on the following independent test results:

Heat Value Average 8,350 BTUs

Moisture Content 3-5% (PFI Premium Standard <10%)

Ash Content <0.5%

Density >40%

Why Diesel Exhaust Fluid?

In order to meet the demands of EPA2010 standards, commercial vehicle manufacturers have evaluated various engine technologies that will provide low emissions and increased performance. SCR technology or Selective Catalytic Reduction is the option many engine and truck manufacturers have chosen. In simple terms, a fine mist of emission fluid is dosed into the exhaust that reacts and neutralizes the NOx molecules. A separate tank is fitted on the SCR truck to house the emission fluid. The rate of consumption for the fluid is 2 to 4% per gallon of diesel fuel. Manufacturers estimate that refueling the emissions tank will occur every other diesel fuel fill up.
